Option #1

A full blown Art Class. Learn how to print fish on paper and fabric (shirts). All supplies are provided.

Time:  Approximately 2 – 4 hours

Cost:  $100/person minimum 2 people. 

“Suggested” max of 12 people per class.

Option #2

Print fish on shirts. A fun activity for any group get-together.
Kids of all ages love it from ages 5 to 105.

Time:  Approximately 1 – 2 hours

Cost:  $40/person minimum 2 people. 

Again, the “suggested” max is 12 people.

Location:  At a venue of your choice

Materials:  

          • All Materials are included – fish, art supplies, shirts, etc.
          • I have 10′ x 10′ pop-up canopies and folding tables.
          • Need access to sink or hose to clean fish and paint brushes.

Class outline:

          • History and background of the Gyotaku
          • Prep the fish by washing, drying and positioning.
          • Paint the fish with sumi ink or acrylic paint.
          • Rub paper or fabric on the fish to create a “rubbing” print.
          • Finish the details of the print.
          • Repeat, repeat, repeat.
          • Print on rice paper and/or tshirts.
          • Bring your own fish if you like
          • You can also bring additional clothing or fabric to print on. Heavy cotton or silk work best.
          • Paint is non-toxic, so the fish can and should be eaten after we print them.
